Alaa El Din was born at El Zahraa in 1956, the same year as Morafic. His dam Kateefa 1938 (Shahloul X Bint Rissala) was a Koheilah Adjuzah Ibn Rodan going back to Rodania. Bint Rissala, aquired from Crabbet Park, had the greatest percentage of Abbas Pasha and Ali Pasha Sherif blood of all horses at the RAS.

Alaa El Din was a good racehorse and placed each time of his six races, including one first, one second and one third place. (Photos by Forbis, Schiele and others)

Alaa El Din did sire some important stallions, but his main influence comes through his wonderful daughters.
